The Biologics Manufacturing Outsourcing Partnerships event is aimed at achieving more cost effective, efficient and high quality production for difficult to develop biologics and vaccines through stronger external partnerships. The event will look at the major issues and challenges that biopharma companies face when outsourcing complex large-molecule clinical and commercial production, in addition to best practices in vendor selection, contract management, joint-project management and communication in order to reduce risk and cost and maximize efficiency and quality in the difficult arena of biologics production. The InformexUSA event is returning to New Orleans in 2012 and will once again offer exhibitors and attendees a direct view of what is happening domestically and internationally across the key players in fine and specialty chemical companies. As well as a chance to connect with leaders in established and emerging Pharma markets, the cosmetics/personal care industry, the biopharma sector, agrochemical manufacturers, plastics/polymers professionals, branded Pharma and generics and mid-sized specialty Pharma companies. Dates: February 15–17, 2012 SAFC will be involved in multiple presentations and workshops at Informex, including: "Risks to the pharmaceutical Supply Chain: Can Rx-360 Help?" — View Rx-360 The Worldwide Pharmaceutical Supply Chain continues to face threats as a result of counterfeiting, adulteration, theft, and diversion which reduce the safety and efficacy of the drugs in the consumer’s medicine cabinet. Tom Beil, SAFC Vice President of Quality & Regulatory Affairs, and Rx-360 Board Member, will participate in this panel that will discuss supply chain risks, the severity of the problem, and steps being taken by regulators and industry to mitigate these risks. Wednesday, February 15, 7:30 – 8:45 a.m. "Structure & Property Optimization of Cocrystal Phases" Prof. Chris Frampton, Chief Scientific Officer of SAFC Pharmorphix will present at the Elsevier Tech Talks on the structure and property optimization of Cocrystal Phases. Thursday, February 16, 2:30 – 3:15 p.m. "Trends in Biopharma -- Positioning and Partnering" Archie Cullen, SAFC Vice President, Global Sales will participate in this Breakfast Briefing panel discussion on trends in biopharma.
